Miller McCormick is a Los Angeles-based designer and art director from Pittsburgh. He has worked with Apple, Chandelier Creative, Ace Hotel, Warner Records, The Andy Warhol Museum, and others. In 2023, Miller opened a small creative studio called General Purpose Spacesuit with an emphasis on ideas, image-making, and visual identity. His illustration work has been published in The New York Times Opinion, Standard Deviation, and Melior Futuri. He has designed graphics for music artists such as ID Labs, Mac Miller, Kenneth Whalum, Baro Sura, Michigan Rattlers and Passion Pit.

For Standard Deviation: On Love & Loss Across Time, Miller was commissioned by the author, Meetra Javed, for illustrations that could be a playful accompaniment to the themes in her debut book.
“Meetra Javed traverses departures in myriad forms: from cultural and familial norms, from once-familiar cities and past selves, from relationships and fears and deeply rooted memories. In her kaleidoscopic debut collection of poetry and essays, interspersed with playful drawings by Miller McCormick, she embraces change—whether seismic or small—over time. Javed reminds us to make room for the startling, life-affirming beauty that might await us once we reach the other side of each great unknown. Also included are contributions from Maxime Bagni and Frances Waite.”
